Waterfall, Gorges de Colombières

Gorges de Colombières cascade

The Ruisseau d'Arles plunges down from the Caroux plateau through the Gorges de Colombières. It forms a long series of cascades, fast-flowing in winter and spring. The pools between the cascades are popular for swimming in the summer, despite the "Baignade Interdite" signs!
(Canon EOS450D, 18-55mm "kit" lens 1/2s @ f36, tripod, cable release and polariser used to allow longer exposure)
