Wooden Russian Orthodox Church
The Russian Orthodox church near Sylvanès
This beautiful wooden construction was moved from the Kirov region to the north of Moscow to a site near Sylvanès in 1993. It was built in Russia, then dismantled and all the timbers numbered before being transported by railway to Millau and thence to this site in the forest of Pessalles between Le Fayet and Sylvanès. There it was reassembled by the same group of young Russians who had originally built the church. (Canon EOS 450D, Sigma 17-70mm @ 28.0mm, 1/400s @ f/6.3)
